Profile
Dr. Operschall has more than 15 years of
experience in industrial and occupational medicine. Although she began
her career as an internal medicine physician, she fell in love with
occupational medicine after working in an occupational health clinic in
San Francisco.
"In occupational medicine, you diagnose the
injury and give the patient a plan for recovery," Dr. Operschall
says. "It’s very rewarding to guide your patients back to
wellness and teach them how to avoid such injuries in the future."
Dr. Operschall performs occupational physicals and
treats on the job injuries, including sprains, strains, lacerations, and
chemical exposures. She is a strong advocate for enrolling her patients
in modified work while they recover, if their employers provide it.
Dr. Operschall treats patients two days a week at
NorthBay Occupational Health in Fairfield and twice a month at their
Vacaville location.
In addition to English, she is fluent in German
and Spanish.
